Some of the most fun I’ve ever had shooting! I shoot thousands of rounds per year (both handguns and shotguns) and have been doing so for decades. I dabbled in throwing darts in high school and college, but have never mixed the two hobbies before today. I train for pistol competitions (Steel Challenge) with my ten year old daughter every weekend. She’s a great shot, and has competed in several matches. She can push me when it comes to speed, but is pretty far behind me in slow fire accuracy. We discovered with these targets, if she shoots a turn of three shots, untimed, she has about the same accuracy I can achieve from a low ready with a 3-second par time on my shot timer. At ten yards, our accuracy is about the same as I had throwing real darts at an actual dart board. So it’s exactly like playing darts. We drew up a score sheet for Cricket and played a real game, taking turns of three shots with .22 pistols. We can’t wait to do it again. We were shooting at a pair of targets (one for each of us). With Cricket, you move around the board enough a single target is fine for a whole game. It’s super fun to not always just be aiming at the center of a bullseye or trying to score any old hit on a piece of steel. With this, you have to use strategy to decide how much risk you want to take (should I aim for that triple ring, or go out to where the wedge is wider?) And what a bargain! I’m sad to hear you’re liquidating your inventory. I hope you pick them up again in the future. In the meantime, I’d better buy another batch!
